West Vincent Township has contracted with Asphalt Industries of Chester, PA to conduct double chip sealing of Township roads including portions of St. Andrews Lane, Clarkson Road, Pine Drive, Barrington Lane, St. Anthony Lane, Art School Road, Dewees Lane, and Adelphia Lane during the week of June 12, 2017, weather depending. The work will last approximately three days.
Traffic signs will be placed in project locations a week in advance of the project start date, notifying motorists of the project and will help identify the various work zones for residents.
Double chip sealing, or the application of an emulsion and aggregate stone, of Township roads adds to the structural value of the road, sealing the surface against moisture penetration, providing increased skid resistance, and provides a surface for plow blades to scrape without dislodging stone from the wearing course, ultimately extending the value and integrity of the road.
We appreciate the community’s cooperation in advance as the Township implements our Road Improvement Program.
