Environmental Advisory Council
The EAC advises the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission on issues that affect the protection, conservation, management, promotion, and use of open space, recreational, historic, and natural resources within West Vincent’s borders. EAC members are Township residents, serving three-year terms. The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 PM in public session.

Open Space Advisory Committee
The Open Space Advisory Committee consists of the volunteers who identify properties within the Township worth preserving from development. After analyzing the properties, they recommend to the Board of Supervisors whether to use funds generated by the Open Space Referendum to buy development rights or find other mechanisms to preserve the property from future development.

Planning Commission
West Vincent is served by a seven-member Planning Commission, charged with overseeing the Township’s orderly and sensitive growth. Terms of office are four years and members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The group meets once a month in formal session, on the 3rd Thursday, during which subdivision plans are reviewed and general business is attended to. Workshop sessions are held on the 2nd Thursday when needed.

West Vincent Township Park and Recreation Commission
The Park and Recreation Commission is the newest volunteer board formed in 2009. This 7 member Board is a recommending body to the Board of Supervisors who serve 5 year terms. They advise on how to maintain, equip and operate parks and other recreational facilities. This commission also develops programs that meet the various interests of the Township residents. The Park and Recreation Commission meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM.

Regional Planning
West Vincent Township is a member of two multi-municipal planning organizations. The Phoenixville Regional Planning Committee and the Federation of Northern Chester County Communities.
The Phoenixville Regional Planning Committee is composed of a supervisor (voting members), planning commissioner, and alternate from the 5 participating municipalities: Phoenixville Borough and Charlestown, East Pikeland, Schuylkill, and West Vincent Townships. West Vincent Township is represented by Clare Quinn (voting member), Kate Damsgaard (planning commissioner), and Jim Wendelgass. Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM at the Schuylkill Township Building at 111 Valley Park Road, Phoenixville. Click here to view meeting minutes.
The Federation of Northern County Communities is composed of representatives from 9 townships: East Coventry, North Coventry, South Coventry, East Pikeland, West Pikeland, East Nantmeal, East Vincent, West Vincent and Warwick. West Vincent is represented by David Brown, Sara Shick, and Clare Quinn. The Federation meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Warwick Township Building at 2500 Ridge Road, Elverson.
