About the Event
Learn all about the birds in our area!
Bring your camera and binoculars and join us for a bird walk at our township's newest park, Opalanie Park.
Led by Eric Hughes, this walk will be targeted toward beginning birders - but all are welcome. Eric is a recent Cornell graduate, a birder since youth, and active on Cornell's eBird website.
West Vincent Township is a Bird Town Pennsylvania member. Opalanie Park is an eBird hotspot. Download the free app before you come.
Opalanie is the Lenni Lenape word for Bald Eagle. Perhaps we will catch a glimpse of these majestic birds. This event is weather dependent. Check before you leave the house if the weather looks iffy. Wear sturdy shoes that can withstand wet ground.
This event is organized by the West Vincent Environmental Advisory Council.
RSVP here or to d.delany@comcast.net directly to be informed of updates and weather issues. Raindate, June 25
