LOVE NATURE? Give Mother Nature a helping hand along the Weatherstone Trail.
The Weatherstone Trail passes through a rich native woodland. The trees and native plants that live there could use our help. Non-native, invasive plants are smothering many of the young oaks and flowers. The good news is- this is easy to fix! Join us and learn to identify plants along the trail and save baby trees. No strength is needed – it’s best to be gentle and patient with plants!
What to bring, if you have them. We will have extra with us to share.
- Garden gloves
- Pruners or loppers
Caution –There is always the chance that you will encounter ticks or poison ivy. Wear a hat, long sleeves, and pants. We will have bug spray with us.
This event is organized by the West Vincent Environmental Advisory Council - Nature Club.
