Trees – who are they? Have you ever wondered which tree is which? In winter, there aren’t even leaves to use as clues to their identity.
If you love trees and want to know more about them, join us for a Winter Tree ID walk on Saturday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m. at Opalanie Park.
Max McCormick will lead us on a fun walk as we learn more about the winter woodland. Max is a certified arborist and a former forestry tech for the USDA. She currently teaches tree identification in Pennsylvania and Ohio. She is helping the West Vincent Heritage Tree Program identify our oldest and biggest trees. Please let us know (d.delany@comcast.net) if you have a tree that should be considered a West Vincent Heritage Tree!
