The Fellowship Community Garden's first season began in 2015. Each year, we have welcomed gardeners and harvests and have grown to capacity--filling all available garden plots.
In 2021, a garden seed swap and a garden party were held. Gardener surpluses helped to donate over 400 lbs of fresh, healthy produce to the Phoenixville Area Community Services and Phoenixville Women's Outreach.
The garden also boasts a community herb plot where all gardeners can pick a handful of seasonings for their next recipe.
In Spring 2022, the Little Free Library was mounted and installed. The Library is available to ALL WVT residents to swap and share gardening books. Thank you to local Girl Scout Troop 4082 and Dan Rich of Kennett Square (thelatheofheaven.com) who assembled, painted and installed our book haven.
Garden plots are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, with priority given to current gardeners and West Vincent Township residents.
Annually, between end February and mid-March, after current gardeners confirm their interest to continue, an on-line registration will take place for new gardener submissions.
Newly available plots are assigned on a first come, first serve basis, with priority given to West Vincent Township residents. New garden requests will ONLY be accepted during the registration period, AFTER current gardeners confirm their interest to continue in the current season.
The fees per season, per plot are: $35 (20 x 20)/$25 (10 x 20).
