Updated: Sep 26, 2022
Annual FREE shredding, battery recycling and clean energy event.
Do you have unwanted paper or other paperwork and files that may contain personal information stacked up after a long and busy summer? Need a safe and reliable way of discarding these items?
Bring your documents to be safely and professionally shredded on-site by Proshred Security.
Battery recycling requirements - WV Sustainability Committee will have a table to collect: household alkaline batteries (AAA, AA, C, D and 9-volt with taped over terminals), button cell batteries, cell phones, and tablets.
Note: Rechargeable batteries should be dropped off at Lowes, Home Depot etc. Auto or Motorcycle batteries contain electrolytes and should be taken to a local auto repair shop.
Our Township supports two other Sustainability programs: Unused prescriptions (excluding needles, inhalers, aerosols, or lotions ) managed by WV Police Department in collaboration with RiteAid and KidCents and old prescription glasses managed by Lions Club. Drop off boxes are located in the lobby of the Township Building.
