From the Desk of Human Relations Commission

- Robin Austin, Human Relations Commission member - 02/28/2023

There are so many reasons why West Vincent Township is such a great place to live and work! Key among those is our Township’s commitment to fairness, diversity and inclusion. In August 2020, the Township Board of Supervisors made the visionary decision to enact and ordain an “anti-discrimination” ordinance.

As Pennsylvania is the only state in the Northeast that does not provide legal protections for LGBTQ individuals, the ordinance ensures that all persons, regardless of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or expression enjoy the full benefit of citizenship and are afforded equal opportunities for employment, housing and use of public accommodations.

The Human Relations Commission meets every fourth Monday and is open to the public. If you are interested in serving on the Commission, an advisory committee of the Township’s Board of Supervisors, we encourage you to volunteer by completing our on-line volunteer application.
