Working with Natural Lands to expand Trail System

Updated: Oct 18, 2021

Natural Lands (NL) has been a valuable partner in preserving land and developing a trail system in Chester County. These trails will eventually connect to the Bryn Coed Preserve trails.

This year, NL plans to construct three (3) board walls over wetland to complete a trail loop to Bryn Coed, funded by a grant from DCNR. NL is also preparing a grant application for a ten (10) space parking lot on Beaver Hill Road at St. Matthews Road. The parking lot will be supplemental parking for Bryn Coed Preserve. The Township is also working with NL and PennDOT to locate the most desirable location for crossing St. Matthews Road. The crossing would connect Bryn Coed with the NL Trail System.
