O-Fish-Ally Trout Season!

With the Township’s acquisition of the property at 1925 French Creek Road last year, which expanded Wilson's Corner Park, public fishing is now permitted in the park. With the increased access for anglers on French Creek, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission stocked trout in French Creek for the very first time in early March.
West Vincent Township Police Officer Justin Fritz assisted Chester County Waterways Conservation Officer Bob Bonney with traffic control during the stocking. This stocking comes just in time for this year’s opening day of trout season on April 1 at 8:00 a.m.

The WVT Police Department would like to remind everyone who plans to fish in either the Cooks Glen or Wilson's Corner Township Parks to abide by all park rules (posted at both parks), including no overnight camping, no open fires, and no alcoholic beverages.
Please do not park in front of gates or block private driveways. Please do not litter. If you see litter, do the right thing, and dispose of it properly. Good luck fishing!

Additional improvements are taking place along French Creek to improve the biodiversity of our waterways. The Dame Juliana League Fly Fishers recently donated $1,500 to West Vincent Township which will be used for the purchase of willow trees to be planted along French Creek between (Cooks Glen and Sheeder Mill on Township-owned property), improving the water quality and providing cooler water temperature for the fish, specifically the trout.
Members of the Dame Juliana League, along with recommendations from the PA Fish and Boat Commission, will identify the locations which would be best to plant the trees. The planting of these trees is due to take place either this spring or early fall.
