Public Comment Request for Opalanie Park Improvements
The Township has been awarded a grant in the amount of $250,000 from Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) for planned improvements to Opalanie Park.
The DCNR grant will cover 50% of the total cost of the anticipated improvements, which include installing a handicapped fishing pier, trails, a gazebo, and other small-scale improvements.
The Administration has recommended to the Board to authorize a grant application to Chester County in the amount of $250,000 to supplement the DCNR grant.
The Township would like to encourage public comment and suggestions for other improvements to the park. Please forward your comments and suggestions directly to John Granger, Township Manager, at jgranger@westvincenttwp.org.
The public will also have an opportunity to provide comment in the February 22 Board of Supervisors Meeting.
