WVPD PSA – Child Passenger Safety

The following are quick tips and a link to PennDOT for child passenger safety.

Children from birth to 2 years old MUST be in a rear facing seat.

Children up to 4 years old MUST be restrained using an approved child seat that matches their age and size.

Children ages 4 to 8 years old MUST be in an appropriate booster seat or other child seat that matches their age and size.

If you have any questions regarding the installation or use of a child car seat, feel free to contact the police department

(admin@wvpolice.org) and set up a time with Officer Fritz, our CPS Certified technician, to go over any questions you may have or to have your seat checked!
