Chief Swininger Appointed to Board of Chester County Emergency Response Team

Congratulations Chief Swininger!


As announced in the Monday, August 21, 2023, Board of Supervisors Meeting, The Chester County Emergency Response Commission held their quarterly meeting on July 27, 2023, and the Board members unanimously voted to appoint our Chief of Police, Chief Swininger to the position of 2nd Vice President.


The Chester County Emergency Response Team (CERT) currently provides emergency services to 26 municipalities in Chester County. As a Board member, Chief will directly have a direct impact on the policies and procedures of CERT and will ensure that safety and security of our community, as well as all of the communities we serve, will be of paramount priority.


Chief Swininger has served West Vincent Township since 1996 when he was appointed as a police officer and promoted to Chief of Police in 2001. Chief Swininger is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.
